In the Altenerding district a new residential quarter is to be built on an area of approx. 58,000 m². The quarter is within walking distance of the Erding S-Bahn station (600 m) and the city centre (900 m). The central location is also characterized by a modern, well-developed road network in the city area and a fast connection to long-distance traffic. In addition, shopping facilities, day-care centres and schools are in the immediate vicinity. The property in Altenerding will be developed as part of a development plan procedure with the aim of identifying further residential areas for Erding. Around 375 new flats are to be built here. An urban and landscape planning concept for the planning area has already been drawn up as part of an expert opinion procedure.
