The location is in the immediate vicinity of Therme Erding [the thermal bath complex in Erding] and is very well accessible via a modern, well-developed road network in the city area, a fast connection to long-distance traffic and the Altenerding S-Bahn station in 500 m distance, and the high-frequency bus network. Furthermore, there are shopping opportunities, day-care centres, and schools within close proximity. The plot in Altenerding is being developed as part of a development plan procedure, with the aim of identifying additional housing areas and a new living quarter for Erding. The purchase of the area of 17,000 m² took place in 2018, the realisation of the first construction phase is planned from 2020 onwards.
