The housing stock in Schleswig-Holstein was acquired by a publicly-listed company together with other properties as part of a portfolio transaction in 2016. This involves around 700 flats in the cities of Bordesholm, Brunsbüttel, Glückstadt, Heiligenhafen, Husum, Itzehoe, and Rendsburg with a stock floor area of approximately 43,000 m² and a total land area of about 110,000 m² . The holdings had vacancy rates of between 20% and 35% per location when purchased. After extensive renovation, the vacancy rate was reduced to less than 5%. Following successful development, revitalisation, and valorisation of the quarter, the properties were sold to several long-term portfolio holders as planned.
