Campus RO: Living, Sharing, Networking

With the Campus RO, a modern new building for students as well as a boarding house with 40 managed flats is being constructed on the approx. 8,500 m² site directly opposite Rosenheim Technical University. During the development, student life was considered in its entirety and the campus was conceived in a kind of settlement structure. The individual buildings are interconnected, there are various sharing areas such as a fitness room, show kitchen and lounges for learning, living and exchanging together. The structural high point and actual highlight will be the stylish rooftop bar on the sixth floor, which will be unique in Rosenheim in terms of atmosphere and panoramic view of the Chiemgau Alps.

The site is being developed within the framework of a development plan procedure with the aim of converting the commercial site. The buildings will be constructed using KfW40+ construction methods and DGNB Platinum certification is being sought. Completion of the first buildings is planned for the winter semester of 2021.

Sustainability as a guiding principle

Campus RO pursues an innovative, holistic approach with a high quality of living for the residents. In addition, the wood hybrid construction method reduces the carbon footprint by more than 50 % compared to conventional construction methods.

  • Wood hybrid construction
  • DGNB Platinum certification
  • KfW 40+
  • Recycling of suitable old building materials
  • Green electricity from photovoltaic system
  • Green spaces as shelter for animals and plants
  • Cooperation with regional partners

Location & Surroundings

Campus RO not only impresses with its innovative overall concept, but above all its student residents with its unsurpassable location directly at Rosenheim Technical University. The neighbourhood in the north of Upper Bavaria's third-largest city offers everything that daily needs require: from shopping facilities to green spaces and sports facilities to nearby public transport connections (bus and train).

While the picturesque old town of Rosenheim is only two kilometres away, the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too - especially for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. Whether excursions to the nearby Chiemsee, (winter-) sports activities in neighbouring Austria or a visit to the Bavarian capital, the possibilities are diverse.
